Android Phones

Android phones are more popular than ever. So how do you know which one to choose?

I have a lot of clients asking me this. The answer only contains a few.

Motorola, Samsung, and HTC are the three big names in cell phones.

Guess what? They all make crappy phones…except for a few.

Motorola Droid X2, Samsung Galaxy Nexus, and HTC  Rezound.

If you are going to buy an Android phone, you might as well buy the best you can as these phones are going to be replaced with something better in 3 months.  For those of you who know me, I go through a lot of phones and do a lot of testing with them.  One thing that I have noticed with Android is you can have the fastest phone ever and it could still be slow. Why you ask? Simple.  Too many apps.

People love to download their favorite apps from the market.   Problem is: some of them run in the background and take up precious memory.  In turn, it ends up slowing down boot times.  Your once smooth scrolling turns into jagged screen jumps and programs take forever to open.  Now who wants that?  I certainly do not.

Like I said, this happens to ALL android devices. One thing to remember is when you install a new app, pay attention and see if your phone becomes slow. If it does, you can uninstall the app or, if you are savvy enough, you can disable the program from running in the background.
